A clean, comfortable workspace of at least 2 × 2 meters (6.5 × 6.5 ft) is required, along with comfortable seating for both the client and the henna artist, a small table for henna cones and accessories, bright natural or white lighting, access to a nearby power outlet if additional lighting is needed, and an indoor or shaded area protected from dust, wind, and rain. A nearby handwashing facility is also recommended to ensure a smooth and hygienic experience.

Preparation

For the best henna stain and a smooth application experience, please ensure your hands and feet are clean and free from lotions, oils, creams, sunscreen, or makeup before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area where henna will be applied, and avoid washing or wetting the design immediately after application. Plan to remain still while the henna dries, and allow at least 30–45 minutes for application and initial drying. For the darkest, longest-lasting stain, keep the henna paste on for 6–8 hours (or overnight) and follow the artist's aftercare instructions. If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, please inform the artist before the session. Arriving on time and preparing the workspace in advance will help ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
